Long Overdue Update

Wow. Apparently I haven’t updated this site in 2 years. Well, here’s where things stand:

I am no longer taking custom order requests. My day job has gotten very busy, and between that and everything that life throws at me I just don’t have enough time to handle custom orders at the moment. If there is something you were hoping to have made, I suggest checking out Etsy.com as there are many, many talented artists there that could probably help you out.

When I do get some time to be artistic, I tend to post on Instagram. You can follow me at @clonehome

He has his trademark trench coat, serious expression, backwards tie, and wings. He was pretty fun to do, I think I may have to try Sam and Dean next.

News!

Hi Everyone!

After a long (and painfully boring) recovery, my back injury seems to be sufficiently healed for me to get back to creating again. It ended up being a herniated disc, not a ligament, and I ended up seeing a wonderful physiotherapist who helped me get my life back! Jillian, if you read this, THANK YOU!!

I also must send a shout out to my cat, Luna, who took it upon herself to make sure that my chest was always sufficiently warm by curling up on it whenever I was laying on the couch. Which was very often.

Hi Everyone!

I am currently laid up at home, bored out of my mind! About a week ago I was playing with my kids and hurt my back. The doctor says it is a strained ligament, and has prescribed physiotherapy, short walks, and rest. I can’t sit upright for very long without pain, so unfortunately that means I can’t do any clay work! Or much of anything else, for that matter. It suuuucks, I am so bored. You never know how much you want to do things until you can’t do any things.

But, I am being well taken care of, my husband is doing most of what I usually do around the house, and my kids are being mostly helpful too, and my cat is doing her best to make me feel better too (apparently this means keeping my face “clean”and purring on my feet). I’m hoping to be mostly back to normal in a couple of weeks. Let me tell you, that can’t come soon enough! We have brand new kayaks to try out, and the weather is finally nice enough!

 

 

Latest Work

I’ve been pretty busy the last couple of weeks, so here are some of the things I have been working on!

My mother had been following April the Giraffe ( http://www.aprilthegiraffe.com  )for quite a while and was very excited when she finally had her baby. So, I made her a little giraffe figure.

I had a request for these ornaments, Nova Scotia style Donairs!

They are one of my very favourite foods from back home. They are made of specially spiced meat, tomatoes, onions, and a sweet sauce, wrapped up in a pita. They are so delicious, and very very messy! They are available all over the place in Atlantic Canada, but are harder to find the further East you go. After moving out here to Ottawa, my husband managed to get a good recipe for them and is now very good at making them!

Hi Everyone!

I have made this website/blog as a way to showcase  my work and to give you all the information you need to contact me for custom orders. It is a work in progress, so please bear with me! I have recently had to re-do it in order to add watermarks to my pictures, so I’ve also done some cleaning up. I’m in the process of deleting old posts and uploading new pictures, and I’m hoping that with a fresh start I’ll be better able to keep everything up to date.
